引导条件状语从句主要有if和unless和as long as
1）if如果，表示在某种条件下某事会发生，也可以表示虚拟或假设。
If you ask him, we will help you. 如果你问他，我们就帮助你。
2）as long as只要
Nothing is impossible as long as we try.只要我们尝试，没有什么是不可能的。
3）unless=if not，表示反面条件，如果不、除非。
They will go tomorrow unless it rains.=They will go tomorrow if it doesn’t rain.
如果明天不下雨，他们就明天去。
4.引导目的状语从句，主要有in order that, so that。
1）in order that为了，以便
They took a taxi in order that they could save time.为了节省时间，他们打了个出租车。
2）so that为了，以便

I got up early so that I could catch the first bus.我起得很早，以便能赶上首班公交车。

5.引导结果状语从句，主要有so ... that, such ... that。
1）so+形容词/副词+that
I am so tired that I can’t walk any longer.我是如此累，没办法继续走了。
2）such+名词/名词短语+that
It was such a warm day that we went out for a walk. 天气如此暖和，我么外出散步了。
6.引导让步状语从句，主要有although, though, even though, even if。
1）although, though虽然，纵然，不能与but连用，可与yet连用。although较正式，不可作副词。though较口语，可作副词，放在句首或句末，
Although/Though he is old, he is very healthy. 尽管他年纪很大，他很健康。
It is hard work, I enjoy it, though.工作很辛苦，但是我很喜欢。

3.in order that/so that【解析】句意：我们市里的警方官员们努力工作是为了让我们能过上安全的生活。
4.as long as【解析】考查状语从句。句意：只要你保证不开得太快，你就可以把我的车借走。as long as只要。 
 8.whoever【解析】考查让步状语从句。句意：我们不论是跟谁握手的时候，我们常常将手套取下，以示尊敬。shake hands with sb 表示“与某人握手”，本句中的with后缺少宾语，结合句意用whoever在句中引导让步状语从句。
9.Although【解析】句意：尽管有规律的运动很重要，但是在睡前运动不是一个好主意。Although“尽管”。
